I think joining the Marines is a very noble thing to do...but I live with my son-in-law's decision to go into the Marines every day. Did you know that it is estimated that 65 percent of the soldiers and Marines coming back from Iraq will have some form of TBI (traumatic brain injury)...and you WILL go to Iraq if you join the Marines...probably two or three times during your enlistment. My son-in-law has severe TBI from an IED (road side bomb). So---if it is really your life long dream to become a Marine, then follow your heart.
